I’ve been thinking about doing this post for ages now and I finally had an afternoon to parade around my house to play dress up and to take excessive pictures. I bought these cute Roolee wide leg pants from Threads of Tay last month and even though I’d hoped for a pair of pants like these for months, I shockingly hadn’t taken time to style them. After this afternoon I feel so excited to try out these looks!

Tank: (Old) Forever 21 / Shoes: Zigisoho
It’s no secret that I live in Florida, (so my apologies for this statement) but I’m really excited for this summer look! I don’t usually wear tanks like this (reminds me of high school days trying to look grown) but this felt really breezy and like something I could get away with on one of our typical 90 degree days without completely drowning in sweat.

Top: Vintage (Poshmark) / Shoes: Liz Claiborne
I’m completely obsessed with this mockneck that I scored on Poshmark and I’ve worn it at every opportunity. I’m currently trying to figure out the best way to wash it gently without messing up the knit, but that’s another post for another day. I can easily wear this at the office or out to do my presentations during the week. Something about the mockneck makes me feel grown and put together which has been a really nice side effect of trying to cultivate an ethical wardrobe.

Top: KOTN / Shoes: (Old) Forever 21
I wish I could wear this all the time but I’ll realistically have to reserve it for our 3 cold weeks of weather here in Florida (please forgive me, northern readers). It’s been surprisingly pleasant this week so perhaps I can sneak another wear before summer descends for another 10 months.

Hankerchief: Madewell (Poshmark) / Top: Goodwill / Shoes: (Old) Target
I’ve seen so many ladies pull off this hair bow / hair bandana look and it’s a bit out of character for me, but I think I really like it! I feel like I’m channeling an Alissa look (check out my interview with her if you haven’t yet!) so I definitely am feeling positive about that. I am so obsessed with this shirt also—is there anything it doesn’t match with??

Top: Anthrolopogie (Poshmark) / Shoes: Liz Claiborne
Another winning work outfit–I love my sleeveless blouses and this is my favorite of all time. Shout out to neutral always being perfect together with little to no thought ahead about it.

Top: Amour Vert / Shoes: (Old) Target
This was probably the combo I felt the least confident in, but I think that’s only because my top is in COLOR. A beautiful muted plum / red color that needs to get more wear, I’ll be honest, so perhaps this outfit will be my chance!

Top: Goodwill / Shoes: (Old) Vans
My last outfit combo was almost one I didn’t do–I didn’t know if I could get away with sneakers with these lovely pants but I feel like this could actually be my favorite outfit because it feels so casual and comfortable!
My Roolee pants feel like quite the bold statement item for me and yet they were surprisingly versatile when I just put a few minutes into styling them! I think I’ll try to do one style challenge each month to keep myself focused on using my wardrobe to the fullest that I can!
Which look was your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
